When/where was your 1st important style moment?
I guess it started pretty soon, when i was a little boy starting in that
awful religious school in north spain. I was probably 5 or 6,
remember styling my hair up with loads, i mean, loads of gel. Wearing my
trousers hanging down, way under my waist with my underwear showing and
refused to wear my jumper, would be around my neck or waist, never on. I
guess it was my idea of uniform, as we weren’t allowed to customized it… i
did try tho.
How does the person you are create the style you possess?
If you could have one person’s wardrobe, and no other clothing, who’s
wardrobe would you steal?
Any of the Goths that hang around the Intrepid Fox pub in Tottenham Court
rd. They are so authentic man!
What is your go to piece at the moment?
A gold necklace that I bought in an antique shop in New York last month
What item in your wardrobe do you have the most of?
Denim shirts, studed, washed, tailored.. Probably a docen
Do you have your own style mantra?
I always try to wear black, denim and leather. It sounds sad, cause I guess
in so called fashion-land everyone wears black to self secure and make sure
their clothes looks expensive enough. Also I think is very me to wear shorts
and kilts in winter.
Where do you shop in London?
Mainly I try not to shop. I have loads of clothes given to me and when I do
shop i make sure are things that will last. I shop in All Saints, I really
like the direction the brand is taking and the leather there  is amazing.
There is always a McQueen shirt I’d love to get in their store and always
choose my jeans at Behave and love browsing trough Dior Homme and Dsqueared
at Selfridges. Also, I’m not gonna lie, highstreet wise I love some of the
tailored pices at Topman and wish Cos made smaller sizes cause some of the
pieces there are rather good, sadly I can only fit in their underwear.
Where do you shop elsewhere?
New York? Seven store, Bess (the best studded stuff ever, a bit overpriced,
but thats good).
Madrid? Davidelfin
Paris? Givenchy (The trip back to London in the Eurostar is not the same if
I dont have a Givenchy carrier bag in my hand)
Less is more or more is more?
Less is more is for pussies.
Where are you vacationing this winter or where would you like to?
I’m speding christmas in Aspen, skiing with Kate Moss and hanging out
with… Oh, hold on a minute, no, I cancelled that, I’m visiting my friends
and family in Spain and renting a house with Gala (amlul.com) to through a
New Years party with friends when we both get back to London.
Do you think you have the London look?
I have the Pelayo look. London look is for wannabes that move here and
pretend to be cool wearing roten vintage clothes that stink and make them
look like homless drug addict, but not in a good way (’cause it does sound
cool but, turns out, it isnt)
Who is your favorite London style icon?
I love Johnny Depp in the 90’s and in ‘Cry-Baby’… Def my icon would be
Cry-Baby if he lived in London and you could bump into him around Shoredich.
Oh no, hold on, that’s me.
