I think after Japan, London has some of the most fashion-forward gents roaming the streets and showing up at parties, openings and events always ahead of the trends.  I invite any of our members to prove me wrong with their looks as that is one of the things I love most about this site, the international scope it allows.

Lately, however, with the arrival of summer I have once again noticed many an ankle on show in the streets of London.  It began last summer with the indie kids and fashion followers rolling up their Cheap Mondays and April 77’s a few inches above their ankle in their sockless vans.  Now a year later the trend, which never really left, is moving west from the East side and taking over Chelsea as well.

Now its not just denim, Marni chinos are rolled up over a brogue, Acne trousers are rolled up over a loafer.  There are many ways and options. I personally like to roll up my DRKSHDWS trousers any time I wear them no matter what the shoe or with/without socks.  I tend to prefer a neat roll rather than a messy one. I think it just looks more together and like you meant it to happen.

You can wear this look with a tee shirt, a sweater or sweatshirt or even in the right occasion with a blazer.  Think Stefano Pilati and you will never go too far wrong.

So take off your socks, select your shoes and if needs be get thee to a waxer. Show us your Ankles, and Roll it up!
